Cross-country skiing - Telemark
Cross-country skiing

Cross-country skiing is the best keep-fit exercise amongst winter sports. The sport promotes health, increases well-being and is above-all, an extremely beneficial winter activity for adults and children. The Ski School Arlberg offers cross-country skiing courses with private instructors for beginners and advanced in the classical cross-country style and also in the modern skating technique.

The classical style is recommended to all who are looking for exercise in the fresh winter air. The skating style, however, is more suited to athletes who are looking for an outdoor "work-out". On individual courses you will learn the correct method to enable you to explore the Loipe network of the Arlberg region safely, easily and enjoyably.

Telemark is a skiing style, which is considered to be the original method of getting down the Arlberg slopes. More and more people are attempting to glide down the slopes in this elegant and dynamic style. However, anything which looks easy must still be mastered and, of course, the ski instructors of the Ski School Arlberg are here to help.

Snowshoe Hiking

Walking with snow shoes is also becoming very popular. This is not surprising as it is an extremely relaxing way to unwind and to enjoy the beauty of the surrounding nature.

Snow shoes and poles can be rented for an extra charge at the ski school.

Anyone looking for fun and entertainment or just for an alternative to skiing or snowboarding should check out the different types of Funsports. Snow Fox, Scooter, Snow Biking or Snow Blading, the Ski School Arlberg understands the need for new trends and they are included in the programme.

Note: Cross Country Skiing, Telemark, Snow shoe walking and Funsports are only offered with Private lessons
